We all love a good Girls Night Out - so much fun! Everybody brings nibbles to eat whilst we have a drink and a good natter. I decided to bring something sweet because it's nice to finish the night off with a dessert. I made my chocolate cake (surprise surprise!) and it was a bit hit! Strawberries are coming into season so I decorated the cake with lots of strawberries - delicious!

Ingredients:
A little butter to grease the pans
Flour to dust over the butter in plans
Cake:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of sour cream
1 1/3 cup of water
3/4 cup of melted milk chocolate
Bake at 350 C for 35 minutes.
Icing:
1 pound of room temperature butter
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
4 cups of icing sugar
1/2 cup of melted milk chocolate (incorporate the chocolate when all the other ingredients have been mixed together)
