Hummus

Ok... it is not baking but it is one of my favourite foods to eat so I have to include this recipe in this blog. Hummus!!! 

I lived in Dubai for a few years and hence my palate is quite fussy about hummus. I do not like store-bought hummus which is too solid and does not have the smooth consistency I am used to. I started making my own hummus years ago and I have not turned back since. It is so so EASY to make your own nutritious hummus. I serve it with pita bread and/or with vegetables. 

Delicious!


Hummus:

1 15oz can cooked chickpeas

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup well-stirred tahini sauce
1 small garlic clove, minced finely
2 tablespoons extra-virgin oil
1/2 teaspoon groud cumin
Salt to taste
Dash of ground paprika to serve

Put all the ingredients in a blender or Vitamix and mix well. Voila!!!
